The Theme: Massive Mind

At this level, players focus on the individual tactical aspect of the game, emphasizing mental strength as a key component of success. While Stage 1 skills remain fundamental, the player's mind becomes the central driver of performance. Decision-making and tactical awareness are at the forefront, alongside physical changes due to puberty.


Developmental Stages to Cover

Base Stage

  • Continue coordination training with emphasis on agility and proper running technique.

  • Reinforce and expand upon foundational themes:

    • 0.210 Attitude

    • 0.220 Reaction Time

    • 0.230 Warming Up

    • 0.240 Relaxation

    • 0.250 Performing at Maximum

  • Physical Components:

    • 0.310 Agility: Coordination with and without the ball.

    • 0.320 Balance & Core Strength: Stability and non-weight-bearing exercises.

    • 0.330 Top Speed: Efficient movement.

    • 0.340 Power & Strength: Progressive physical development.

    • 0.350 Endurance: All fitness work should incorporate the ball.

Stage 1: Skill Mastery

Players should refine Stage 1 skills under increased pressure of time, space, and opponents:

  1. Dribbling: Encourage 1v1 attacking using feints, shielding, and spin turns.

  2. Shielding: Learn to hold strong against two opponents.

  3. Receiving/Trapping: Emphasize quality first touch, receiving out of the air, and turning.

  4. Passing: Master short, long, bent, crossed, driven, and chipped passes at game speed.

  5. Turning: Develop smooth directional changes under pressure.

  6. Individual Defense: Reinforce proper defensive technique.

  7. Striking: Improve shooting on the run, turning, crossing, and volleying.

  8. Juggling (Air Dribbling): Attain 50-100 consecutive juggles using all body parts.

  9. Heading: Develop scoring, passing, and clearing headers.

  10. Shoulder Charging: Introduce early contact techniques.

Players must recognize the consequences of their actions in terms of possession. 1v1 mastery in attack and defense is essential. During this phase, players experience mental unrest and social group formation, making it vital to foster personal strength and confidence.
